Jana Niefer

Our founder is passionate about helping people to not go through the many near-death experiences she had with asthma as well as the crippling handicap and surgery need that came with her psoriatic arthritis. She grew up with eczema along with her asthma, a common inflammatory combination.

Jana is also passionate about languages and cultures. She speaks 5 on a good day and can understand a few more. A citizen of the world, she wants to bring cultures and people together in the unifying world with a non-profit foundation addressing the not so fun parts of life.

Growing up in Hawaii, Japan and Europe, she is currently based out of Vancouver, Canada where her main job title is Soccer Mom. As a hobby, she runs an import business or two, while travelling around the world for fun and work.

Jana studied at the University of British Columbia and Sophia University in Tokyo. Politics and History with the goal to be an Ambassador, a dream she still may want to realize once she has a bit of time.

Corporate experience came from a few years ago at Daimler and cars are another obsession along with fashion and travel.

Sophia Bassan

Sophia Bassan is a nonprofit professional. Most recently, she worked for a large anti-poverty foundation that funded the rural health clinic she used while growing up on a farm in Hawaii. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading (preferably cookbooks, i.e., picture books for grown ups), volunteering, and listening to live and recorded classical music. She attended Bowdoin College and the University of Chicago Law School and lives in New York City.
